Söguþráður
Liðin eru 27 ár síðan dr. Sam Beckett steig inn í Quantum Leap-hraðalinn og hvarf. Nú hefur nýtt teymi verið sett saman til að endurræsa verkefnið í von um að skilja leyndardómana að baki vélinni og manninum sem skapaði hana. Dr. Ben Song, aðaleðlisfræðingur háleynilegrar tímaferðaáætlunar stjórnvalda sem kallast Quantum Leap, tekur óheimilt stökk aftur í tímann og vaknar í öðrum líkama með aðeins brot af minni sínu óskert. Með leiðsögn Addison, samstarfskonu hans í nútímanum sem birtist honum sem heilmynd sem aðeins hann getur séð og heyrt, uppgötvar hann að eina leiðin til að stökkva aftur er að leiðrétta eitthvað í lífi manneskjunnar sem hann hefur tekið sér bólfestu í. Á meðan Ben stekkur úr einu lífi í annað og leiðréttir það sem eitt sinn fór úrskeiðis reynir teymið hans í nútímanum að komast að því hvers vegna hann stökk og koma honum heim.
