Tilnefningar til Golden Globe verðlaunannna voru tilkynntar í dag á blaðamannafundi í beinni útsendingu frá Los Angeles. Það voru leikararnir Alfre Woodard, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Bell og Sharon Stone sem fengu þann heiður að sjá um tilkynningarnar að þessu sinni.
The Shape of Water fær flestar tilnefningar, eða alls sjö talsins. Þar á meðal fyrir besta handrit og bestu leikstjórn, en það var Guillermo del Toro sem sá um að leikstýra myndinni.
Kvikmyndin The Post er einnig í miklu uppáhaldi hjá dómnefndinni og fær sex tilnefningar. Myndin er m.a. tilnefnd sem besta myndin í flokki dramatískra kvikmynda og Steven Spielberg fær tilnefningu sem besti leikstjórinn. Aðalleikarar myndarinnar, Tom Hanks og Meryl Streep, fá einnig tilnefningu.
Þættirnir Big Little Lies standa upp úr hvað varðar sjónvarpsefni og eru t.a.m. leikararnir Alexander Skarsgård, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley og Laura Dern öll tilnefnd fyrir leik sinn í þáttunum.
Spjallþáttastjórnandinn Seth Meyers mun vera kynnir hátíðarinnar sem fer fram þann 7. janúar á Beverly Hilton-hótelinu í Los Angeles.
